1998 Acura Integra

For 1998, Acura Integra line up receives humble front and rear cosmetic additions,
but remains largely unchanged. Its four little projector beam headlamps and the
graceful roofline supply its contemporary look. The 1998 Acura Integra line up
is made up of five coupes and three sedans.
The five coupes include the RS, LS, GS, the high-performance GS-R and the limited
edition Type R. The sedans are LS, GS and GS-R. The RS, LS and GS versions is
being motorized by a 1.8-liter dual overhead cam 16-valve 4-cylinder engine teamed
with a choice of either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic.
The 1998 Integra also possess Honda's control arm suspension system with common
spring and shock absorber damping rates right across the board. The GS and GS-R
models receives heavier antiroll bar mated with more aggressive tires carried
by 15-inch aluminum alloy wheels. Integras are sporty without being harsh and
the handling response was quick and precise.
The suspension complies with the sporty car standards lending the Integra a fairly
smooth ride. As with all Integras, the dash is well placed giving the driver a
good outside vision. The gauges are within easy reach and the radio and CD player
are really satisfying.

A limited edition, Type R was made with maximum performance in mind. It boasts
its stiff chassis, firm suspension, bigger brakes, low transmission gearing, limited
slip differential, low ride height and lower curb weight. It doesn't include several
pretty goodies but it does have a 195 horsepower supplied by the 1.8-liter engine,
towing 2,600 pounds chassis and performance-tuned suspension.
